I'm not sure why is this but it seems that everywhere i go and all the tv channels i flick to, even the spanish ones it appears to be that alot of them are focusing on the spread of HIV. Its amazing the stories you hear concerning this topic. I heard stories of a lady that was happily married with three kids and then found out that she had HIV and her three daughters as well had it. This obviously happened years ago the girls are in their 20's but it shows how careless things were done before. Mothers werent being tested for this disease. One other lady said that she found out she had the disease when she was 7 months pregnants, the disease wasnt spread to her daughter because something i quite didnt understand. She was also married though. This comes to show that who can you really trust when you are being sexually active?

More and more indivduals are being sexually active and not protecting themselves with the high percentage in people being affected you would think more precautions would be taken. Right now as im sitting here im hearing of case of a older woman that is infected with HIV. She got it through the use of drugs, she was so addicted to drugs she was taking every needle she found and stabbing herself with drugs. She was raped by different men and had 6 children. Her oldest daughter died of the disease. Her other five she had years without knowing anything about them. Its amazing how this disease is being spread through individuals. Nowadays you dont know who its safe to have sex with, you cant trust that person that you might be with. Personally, even when i was in a relationship with one guy i always got myself tested. Its important to get yourself tested and the person you are with. Before you decide to be sexually active with someone make sure that you take the proper precautions. Go and get yourself tested and tell your partner to get tested as well. Its better to be safe then find out after that you got infected.

As much as you can trust someone you never really know or they might not really know whether they are infected or not. There's people that spread the disease and choose to spread teh disease because they got infected by someone and they are so upset that they decide to spread the disease to the next person. Recently in another state a woman was released from jail after ten years for purposely interacting in sexual intercourse knowing that she was infected with the disease. She said that she wanted revenge because her ex-boyfriend gave her the disease. Not only that but some people cheat and get infected in the process and then come home to their partner.This does exist people, some people do think this way. As well, many individual interact in one night stands, and then do it without a condom. So again i ask myself, when do you really trust the person you are with? When is it safe? How can we become more aware?
My best advice is to be cautious who you are with, be cautious who you decide to be sexually active with and make sure to not only use a condom but get tested. It's sad to hear all these stories.
